The Tour started with peru4x4adventures in two brand new specially equipped 4x4 vans unique in its kind due to Mercedes Benz Engines and Automatic secuencial 5 gear, gearbox. These units were ideal due to its space capacity and commodity it offers. We left Huanchaco beach resort early in the morning in which we visited directly Huaca Sol y la Luna and later on our way back Chan Chan. That very same day we continued our journey north of Trujillo visiting the archaeological site of La Huaca el Brujo & La Senora de Cao. Here we had the opportunity to visit also an interesting Museum at site, dedicated to its founder Mr. Francisco Wiese de Osma. Also most important is that we had the unique opportunity to talk and interview Mr. Regulo Franco who is the discoverer of La Sra. de Cao. After finishing our tour in this very important site we headed back to the main square of the town known as Magdalena de Cao, from where we had a brief relaxing moment and a very succulent pick-nick. Once we finished our picknick we started off immediatly heading towards the Chaparri National Ecological Reserve, here we had the opportunity to stay two nights. In this paradise you will find 7 kinds of colibries, the well known Peruvian Spectecle Bear mostly known as Paddington Bear in the UK, and most interesting the white winged Turkey once thought to be extinct. Today there are more than 350 white winged Turkey flying around the National Reserve of Chaparri amongst many other species. On our second day we left early in the morning from Chaparri towards Lambayeque to visit the Museum of the Royal Tomb of Sipan and at the same time interview Dr. Walter Alva who discovered the intact Tomb of the Lord of Sipan. |
