Day 01 … - Lima:
Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival at the International Airport of Lima (Jorge Chavez) a representative of Peru 4x4 adventures/Domiruth Travel Service will be awaiting for you, from there on transfer to the hotel. Arrival & Check inn. Short briefing about the expedition and the usage of the 4x4 units, as well as safety regulations etc. Overnight.
Day 02 Lima – Canete - Ica (Total distance Lima-Ica 303 kms):
Early breakfast at the hotel. Early departure at 06:00 am with 4x4 units with direction to the city of Ica. On route visit to the National Reservation of Paracas. Protected area, which holds many protected bird species. We continue our journey to the city of Ica. Arrival and check inn the hotel in Ica city. Overnight.
Day 03 Ica – Nazca (Total distance Ica-Nazca 149 kms 2hrs aprox):
Breakfast. Guided visit to the city of Ica including wine & Pisco bodegas, you will also be able to visit the Regional Museum and walk around the Oasis of La Huacachina, located in the middle of the dessert. Afterwards depart to the city of Nazca, on route you will be able to do some stops in order to observe the Incas head in Palpa, some of the palpa lines and the Maria Reiche Museum, also climb the observation tower on the Panamericana highway and observe the Nazca Lines. Arrival in Nazca, check in at the hotel and overnight.
Day 04 Nazca:
Breakfast in the hotel. Although here we recommend that breakfast should always be taken after the flight over the Nazca Lines. After flight over the Nazca Lines guided visit to the Archaeological complex (Pyramid) of Cahuachi. This was a religious and ceremonial centre located 28 kms from the city of Nazca and it is said that from here the Nazca Lines were born. Cahuachi is also said to be the largest sand and clay city in the world and measures in size more than 24 square kilometres. Afterwards return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 05 Nazca – Abancay (Total distance Nazca-Puqio-Abancay 444 kms):
We suggest an early breakfast at the hotel in order to depart on time from Nazca to Abancay. On our journey we will visit Pampas Galeras, known as one of the principal Vicuna reservations in South America and the largest in the world. If on time and if it is open one can visit the local museum on Vicuna. We will drive bye Puqio and also the Yauriviru Lagoon at 4400 m.a.s.l. Before arriving in Abancay we will also have the opportunity to visit the Inca Tambo of Tarawasi.
Day 06 Abancay – Sacred Valley (Total distance Abancay-Sacred Valley 191 kms):
Breakfast at the hotel. On route from Abancay to Cusco Visit the famous circular carved stone of Saywite, which measures 2.5 metres high. One distinguishes in its carved formed, flora and fauna as well as topographic landscapes of the Inca Empire. Continue the journey to the Sacred Valley in Cusco. Overnight in Urubamba.
Day 07 Sacred Valley (Full Day):
Breakfast in the hotel. Full day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting the Fortes of Ollantaytambo, Pisaq Market and surroundings, the town of Chincheros, salt beds of Maras and Moray, return to Urubamba. Overnight.
Day 08 Sacred Valley – MachuPicchu – Sacred Valley:
Breakfast. Transfer to the train station in Ollanta. Departure to Aguas Calientes in a panoramic train ride. Arrival in Aguas Calientes and bus ride to Machu Picchu entrance. Guided visit to Machu Picchu ruins 2hrs aprox. In the evening return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Board train to Ollanta, arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 09 Sacred Valley – Cusco:
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer with 4x4 units to Cusco, arrival and visit the 4 nearby ruins: Kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. In the afternoon, visit the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the sun) and the main square of the Imperial Capital. Overnight.
Day 10 Cusco - Lima:
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer to the airport in order to board your flight back to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free at your leisure. Overnight.
Day 11 Lima - …:
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer to the airport in order to board your international flight.
