Day 01: Puno - Copacabana – Cruise on Lake Titicaca - La Paz.- Transfer and departure in Pullman bus to Copacabana. Visit to the Black Virgin’s Sanctuary. Afterward, we’ll board the catamaran and begin our cruise on the highest navigable lake in the world. Lunch aboard boat. Visit to the Island of the Sun, the Incan Steps, and the Ethnic-Ecological Museum. We’ll continue our travel to Chua Port, where we will board a Pullman bus to La Paz. Arrival in La Paz and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 02: La Paz - Tiahuanaco - City Tour.- Breakfast. Departure on a 5-hour excursion to the archeological center of Tiahuanaco, an ancient pre-Incan culture center located 72 kilometers from La Paz. Visit to the city of Laja, where La Paz was first founded. Arrival to the lookout point of Llo’ko’ko, where we will enjoy the spectacular view of the Andean mountain range. Visit to Akapana Pyramid, Kalasasaya Palace, Sun’s Gate, the semi-underground temple, the temple of Putu Putuni’s Sarcophagus and the Lìtico Museum of Ceramics and Metallurgy. Return to La Paz. In the afternoon, we’ll tour La Paz, visiting the colonial districts and museums, the main plaza, the cathedral, the government and legislative palaces, Killi Killi lookout point, the replica of the semi-underground temple of Tiahunaco, the Indian and witch markets, San Francisco Church, the residential zone and the Valley of the Moon. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: La Paz.- Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for international flight or travel to another destination.

Day 01: La Paz - Oruro - Uyuni.- Departure in tour bus to Oruro to travel Executive-Class aboard the Express Train of the South to Uyuni. The travel route follows Poopo Lake, and will allow us the opportunity to admire the surrounding fauna and observe several mining centers. Arrival at 11:30 and transportation to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02: Uyuni - San Juan.- Breakfast. All day will be spent in the impressive salt desert, visiting Colchan, where iodized salt is processed, the Salt Hotel, Fish Island, arriving finally at San Juan. Lunch and dinner. Lodging and overnight stay.
Day 03: San Juan – Red Lake.- Breakfast. All-day tour of lakes Cañapa, Hedionda and Tree of Rocks, ultimately arriving at Red Lake, the natural habitat of the red flamingos. Lunch and dinner. Overnight stay in rustic lodge.
Day 04: Red Lake – Green Lake - Alota.- Dawn departure to visit the geometric sources of the Morning Sun, Apacheta, and the Green Lake, where we will observe the magnificent volcano, Llicancanhuar. On the way, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast served next to a natural hot springs. We’ll then pass through Rock Valley. After traveling through Valley of the Frogs, we will arrive in Alota. Lunch and dinner. Rustic lodging or overnight stay in hotels in Villa Mar or Kulpina-K, according to availability.
Day 05: Villa Alota – Uyuni – Potosí.- Breakfast. Early morning departure to Uyuni by way of Kulpina K. Arrival in Uyuni, visit to the Locomotive Cemetery. Departure for Potosí, passing by Punotuma, Tica Tica and Pulacayo. Arrival and lodging in hotel. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 06: Potosí – Sucre.- Breakfast. In the morning, we’ll visit the Wealthy Mountain of Potosí. Lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the most important tourist sites of the city. Afterward, we’ll continue our travel to Sucre. Arrival and overnight stay.
Day 07: Sucre.- Breakfast. Tour of the historic city, visiting the major tourist sites. In the afternoon, we’ll tour the colonial city. Overnight stay.
Day 08: Sucre – La Paz.- Breakfast. Early morning departure to visit the dinosaur footprints half an hour from Sucre. At this site we’ll be able to travel back in time, imagining the dinosaur age 60 million years in the past. Transportation to the airport and departure to La Paz. Arrival and transportation to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 09: La Paz.- Breakfast. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport for international flight or further tour extensions in South America. |
